| The club just acquired rights to hunt on an 825 acre ranch outside Seymour called McDonald Ranch. The landowner has given access to AFGC members only to day hunt for Deer, Turkey, Hogs, Dove, Varmints and possibly Quail. McDonald Ranch is a good mixture of open cultivation and dense mesquite flats that provide a mixture of cover types containing food and cover for a variety of wildlife. There are adequate water sources available to sustain wildlife populations, with 7-8 stock tanks. Feeders are in use on the property increasing your chances of a successful hunt. The ranch will also be under a Deer Management Program, so meat and management hunts will also be available. A lodge is available for overnight trips.
